Located 135 kms southwest of Marmaris. Unfortunately, there is not a certain information about the establishment of the ancient city Telmessos but known that it was one of the biggest city of the Lycians. Fethiye is known for its rock tombs carved into the faces of the cliffs by the Lycians. The most worthwhile tomb to be seen is the tomb of Amnytas dating from the 4th-century B.C built in Doric architectural style. Other historical places in the city are the Sarcopaghi and the Fethiye Tower. Today, Fethiye is an important holiday center which is surrounded with numbers of holiday villages and high-class hotels.Suitable for diving
